National Association of Postal Supervisors Donates $10,000 to Postal Employee Relief Fund for Hurricane Harvery

August 30, 2017

Dear NAPS Members,

Hurricane Harvey has wreaked havoc on the state of Texas and its aftermath on Louisiana. On
behalf of all NAPS members, the NAPS Resident Officers and your entire Executive Board
sends their thoughts and prayers to all who have been impacted by this terrible natural disaster,
including those in our postal family. Hurricane Harvey was the most powerful hurricane to
strike Texas in more than 50 years. It lingered around Texas’ Gulf Coast, where it drenched
parts of the region with a year’s worth of rain in the span of a week. NAPS cannot linger
without taking action to help our fellow NAPS members and those of our postal family.

Therefore, your NAPS Executive Board has voted unanimously to make a special one-time
Postal Employee Relief Fund (PERF) donation of $10,000 within the next two weeks to
support those postal employees impacted by Hurricane Harvey. When one member is impacted
by a natural disaster, we all are, because we are the NAPS family.

I want to thank our Executive Board for their vote to support PERF with this special donation
to help those impacted by Hurricane Harvey. More importantly, I thank the membership for
their understanding and generosity to help those in need during such a disaster. Please keep our
NAPS members, postal family and others who were impacted by Hurricane Harvey in your
thoughts and prayers.

Sincerely,
Brian
Brian J. Wagner
NAPS National President
