California Police Stop Vehicle Crammed Full With Stolen Mail

LOS ANGELES – May 22, 2017 – Three people, two men and a woman, were arrested on Thursday on charges stemming from a rash of mail and package thefts from many mailboxes in the Santa Clarita Valley.

A citizen spotted two people acting suspiciously at 4:30 in the morning that day, stealing mail from a community mailbox. The citizen called the police, who responded to the 24100 block of Newhall Ranch Road.

Police then followed the suspects’ Chevy Tahoe as it drove toward I-5. There they conducted a traffic stop and discovered numerous mail and packages filling the cabin of the vehicle.
