Gretna residents said they’ve been complaining to the postmaster for months, but nothing has changed.

“On a daily basis, we have to look at all of our mail to make sure it’s addressed to us and not someone else,” Nicole, a Gretna resident, said. “I understand once in a while getting someone else’s mail. It happens. But this is ridiculous.”
KETV News Watch 7 heard from almost a dozen Gretna residents who say for the past several months they’ve had to stop payment on checks and missed bills, and received other people’s tax documents and important papers.
“I’ve also gotten some lady’s medical information from a doctor appointment in the mail,” Nicole said. “I called the doctor’s office to let them know.”
The postal problems caused Nicole to protect herself by paying bills online instead of using snail mail. “I don’t want someone else to get a hold of our information, especially our financial information, credit card information, medical information. It terrifies me,” Nicole said. More
