COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – A United States Postal Service mail carrier was in danger of being swept away during Monday’s flash flooding and her video is now going viral.

Shannon Fager was out on her USPS route Monday when Mother Nature took her on a different course.

“I felt like I was sitting in a river. Water was moving so fast. There were trash cans floating by, electrical boxes. There was a tire that landed over here,” said Fager.

Fager was near the intersection of Bijou Street and Union Boulevard. Fager tried to drive to a safe spot, but she couldn’t make it. She said she had no choice but to stay in her truck.

“By the time I pulled over here, I couldn’t get out. It just kept on coming, kept on coming,” said Fager. “That was unlike anything I had ever seen. That was crazy.” Read more
