Always there – EAP introduces online counseling

The Postal Service’s Employee Assistance Program (EAP) now offers counseling online for employees and their families.

Counseling is available in five modules:

  • Mild to moderate depression
  • Alcohol and substance abuse
  • Anxiety, phobias and panic attacks
  • Obsessive-compulsive disorder
  • Insomnia and sleep problems

Each option is accessible anytime for your convenience and privacy. The programs are short, interactive and self-paced. Employees who use this service must do so on their own time.

You can access the programs on EAP’s site, http://www.eap4you.com/. Select the benefits tab on the homepage, then select “Web-Based Care” and you’ll be taken to the login section, where you can begin the module of your choice.

To learn more, call EAP at 800-327-4968 (TTY: 877-492-7341).
