Video: Mail Carrier Finds Child Left Home Alone

Wilkes-Barre, PA – A mail carrier led police to a toddler left home alone in Luzerne County.

When police arrived they found a 2 to 3-year-old child crying inside the Wilkes-Barre home on Hazle Street. A letter carrier heard the child crying and called police.

Investigators say they found a space heater left on inside the home that was covered in filth. The child, who was only wearing a dirty diaper, was taken to the hospital after police discovered bruises on his body.

Charges will be filed once the child’s parents or guardian are identified. Read PA Homepage
