Just before 9:00 Saturday morning, two employees at the U.S. Post Office in Taylor Ridge were robbed at gunpoint, according to the Rock Island County Sheriff’s Office.
Captain Darren Hart said details are still coming in and they are working on the scene. There was still yellow tape surrounding the building when we spoke with officials on the scene Saturday.
“It’s our understanding that a male Caucasian entered the Post Office shortly before 9 a.m. and demanded property, undisclosed amount of property and currency from two postal workers that were inside the facility,” Hart said. Read more
