Feds investigating theft of Dayton mail by contracted truck driver

October 28, 2014 – An unnamed truck driver is being investigated in connection with the theft of mail she was contracted to take from the Dayton Post Office to Postal Service operations in Pittsburgh.

The suspect is an independent contractor with Rose-marie Zajac’s Mail Transportation Co. of Yatesboro. fraud-and-theft

Zajac said the driver has been suspended during the investigation.

“I was definitely surprised when I found out an investigation was going on,” Zajac said. “The Postal Service’s law enforcement will take care of the situation. Any final decision on this driver depends on the outcome of the investigation.”
