Q3 VOE Survey Moves Online for Non-bargaining Employees

Starting this quarter, non-bargaining employees selected to participate in the Voice of the Employee (VOE) survey will be completing it online.

Non-bargaining employees chosen for the quarter 3 survey are receiving an invitation by email this week from “USPS Voice of the Employee” with a link to the online survey. Like its paper counterpart, the online VOE is managed by a third-party vendor.

Information Technology and Human Resources Employee Resource Management together created a secure, confidential environment to make it easier for employees to provide feedback. In a pilot test, 75 percent of participating employees indicated they preferred the online survey to the paper version. Many reported it was a quick, simple and convenient way to participate in VOE.

“Online administration of the survey is an efficient and secure way for employees to respond to the survey — and it’s in line with industry best practices in survey administration,” said Employee Resource Management VP Deborah Giannoni-Jackson. “It reduces the need for manual processes related to printing, distributing and scanning paper surveys. It’s also consistent with the Postal Service’s commitment to sustainable business practices.”

The online survey email from “USPS Voice of the Employee” will contain a link to the survey, managed by Ipsos Research for confidential independent administration of the process.

Employees responding to the survey online can skip any question or go back to change an answer. They also can exit the survey before finishing and use the same link to return to where they left off. Once employees submit their responses, the link is closed.

As with its paper counterpart, results of the online survey are confidential. Only Ipsos Research will have access to individual responses.

  1. Voe survey is really stupid. Why don’t they talk in plan english, instead of vague wording. I believe it’s because they really don’t want you to express how you really feel about certain workplace issues. Again they are in control of what you can say.

  2. VOE results are a crafty way for USPS to leverage employees. Fishing for facts to use against employees. when they started this , I know for a fact that they used information obtained in the survey during contract negotiations.

  3. The last posted VOE scorecard at the facility I work at is for Quarter 2, 2012.
Is this a reactivation of VOE?

Hi Tom: we do not know…you would need to ask USPS. PEN
