USPS SAYS COMMUTER PROGRAM MAKES IT EASIER THAN EVER TO SAVE SIGNIFICANTLY ON DAILY COMMUTE

Employees who enjoy saving time and money have more reason than ever to check out the newly upgraded Commuter Program.

It’s now easier than ever to take advantage of this program, which is administered by WageWorks. The Commuter Program enables career employees to pay for their eligible public transportation costs and parking expenses through convenient pre-tax payroll purchases on a month-by-month basis. Pre-tax means paying less in taxes, which saves money — up to 40 percent of commuting costs.

Employees now can make elections in the month preceding the commuting month — for example, order by Aug. 10 for a September transit pass.

Total monthly contributions will be divided into two equal payroll deductions instead of one. Commuters will have access to funds when each payroll deduction is processed. And payment options now include using a personal credit or debit card to cover account shortfalls.

  1. Every pay day this website takes out $90.00 out of my check, but how do I pull the funds out to use it for my commute? can you please call me at ((51) 249-2176… Thank you! Alma Aguilar

Alma – THIS website does NOT take anything from your pay – it MAY be possible that the official USPS deducts these costs from your pay, but certainly not PEN.
